Virtual school office

Welcome to our virtual school office where you will find useful information and commonly used forms. You can also call the school office by phone or in person where Mrs Oliver, Mrs Hannah and Mrs Marriott are always happy to help.

Notification of absence

We always need a short note giving the reason for your child's absence for our records.

From September 2013 children are no longer entitled to two weeks absence per year. We hope that parents will do their utmost to avoid undue absences as this can seriously affect educational progression.

Punctuality

Children should be in the yard by 8.50am when a whistle is blown to signal children should line up ready to go into school.

Children who arrive late will have to be brought to reception where parents will be asked about the reason for their lateness. Parents of unaccompanied children who arrive late will be sent a text requesting that they come into the office to sign the late book. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Dinner money

Please send money in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and class on Monday mornings. School meals currently cost £10 per week. We also have a pre-payment system where you can pay for a whole term/half term in advance. You can also pay online here or by a cheque made payable to Diamond Hall Junior Academy.

We do not allow arrears to build up in respect of lunch payments. Governors have stated that the school can no longer allow a debt of more than one week’s payment. If the money is not paid by the end of the week you will be asked to provide your child with a packed lunch or to take your child home for lunch.

Free school meals

Children of parents who receive income support or income based job seeker's allowance are entitled to free school meals. We ask all eligible parents to register, even if their children do not choose to take free school meals, as this affects how our school is funded. Forms may be downloaded below.

Parents with cars

The safety of our children, parents and visitors to our school is of paramount importance. Please may we remind you not to bring cars into the car park at any time during the school day as this causes a hazard to pedestrians. This also includes after school clubs.

Pedestrian access

Parents are reminded to use the pedestrian access situated on Well Street. This should be used at all times to get to reception, including after school clubs.
