A group of pupils in Year 6 visited Lambton Country Estate on Friday 6 October for an action packed day of fun activities.
After meeting their instructor, Bob, they were taken along to the stables where they shown the equipment used on the horses before being allowed to brush a lovely horse called Monty.
They then went to explore some more of the estate; they found out it was built in the 16th century and it had safe rooms and hidden doors.
Visiting the honey bee farm was next and pupils pulled on protective suits while watching the bees and finding out loads of interesting bee facts. At the end of the talk, they were each given a sample pot of honey - yum!
Then they went to Biddick Hall for refreshments, looked around the castle and saw the gamekeeper and his cute dogs.
All in all it was a great day, huge thanks to Bob for showing us around!
