After learning about the Tudors, class 5LA were treated to a delicious Tudor banquet (complete with costumes) thanks to a visit from Cooking4Life.
They spent the morning with chef Nick Fairley, preparing the food before sitting down together to enjoy the banquet in the afternoon.
Each pupil was given a role to play; either a royal or a poor Tudor child who was only allowed to eat pottage - a simple soup. Our children were shocked at the difference in classes - it definitely wasn't rights respecting in Tudor times!
All in all, it was a great day. Huge thanks to Cooking4Life for coming in.
