4SB are feeling festive after returning from an exciting trip to Beamish where they spent the day pretending to be Victorian children working in a factory.

The children were put to work as soon as they arrived; collecting bundles of rope, in very poor conditions, without speaking for just 30d (30p!). They then had to try and plan a meal for seven with the little money they had earned.

After the work was done, the children took a trip around the museum on the tram where they spotted Santa's reindeers and admired the huge Christmas tree.

Imogen and Oliver said “We enjoyed going down the mine especially when the miner turned the light off. It was very dark!”

Rashelle said “I really enjoyed my trip on the tram. I have only been on one before so it was nice to do it again.”
