Year 6 had a great day yesterday with visitors from Sunderland University, who brought in their coding kits and expertise to make robots!
The children used Lego WeDo programming kits linked to iPads to make their Lego creations do what they desired! They programmed their robots to move around the classroom and, when they had mastered this, they added in extra functions including motion and tilt sensors, sounds and coloured lights.
Thank you to Sunderland University's Primary2Uni team for coming in.
