Blue Reef Aquarium adventure

Class 4LR took an interesting trip to the Blue Reef Aquarium in Tynemouth this week to visit the creatures they had been learning about in class.

Spider crabs, otters, baby black-tipped sharks and bioluminescent fish were just a few of the creatures they saw. Pupils were also lucky enough to watch the seal show while avoiding being splashed by their jumps!

Later in the day, pupils attended a workshop where the staff helped us to learn more about the impact of humans on the environment, including coral bleaching. In class, we have been learning about the impact of human actions and are passionate about helping our environment (article 29).

Ruby said: "My favourite part of the trip was visiting the monkeys, including the endangered tamarind monkey."

Alicia said: "I enjoyed watching the sea otters swimming."
