Year 6 pupils have been thinking about their future careers this week after a fantastic trip to the Work Discovery event at the Stadium of Light.
Pupils got a taste of a huge variety of careers including engineering, robotics, hairdressing, photography, pharmacy and 3D animation to name just a few. They met a police dog and took part in an underwater virtual reality (VR) experience. All pupils came back to school buzzing with ideas about what they want to do when they leave school.
Later in the week, Year 6 got a visit from James and Yvonne from Santander Bank in Sunderland. They ran an informative and engaging 'moneywise' workshop to help us think about how to manage our money and take good care of it. We also had the chance to talk to them about careers in the finance industry. It was very eye-opening. Thank you to James and Yvonne for coming in.
