In the lead up to Christmas, our children have been getting into the festive spirit by taking part in Christingle services and putting on Christmas performances.

Each year group took it in turns to wow the crowd alongside Father Skelton at St Mary Magdalene's church during their Christingle services.

Our children made their Christingles back in the classroom and discussed the different elements to the Christingle and learned why they are important to Christians.

The children also had the chance to put on some fantastic year group performances for the grownups back in school. We had Year 4 perform their rendition of 'A Visit From St Nicholas' as Year 6 shared a range of different Christmas traditions in their show. Year 5 showcased the tales of Christmas around the world including how Italy celebrate with a meal on Christmas Eve which is very different to what we are used to in the UK.

Toby said: "Rudolph Rumpus was my favourite song to sing in the show! I love performing the actions too - especially the rock and roll electric guitar!"
