Last week our Year 4 pupils enjoyed a great day at Beamish Museum.
As the class have been learning about the digestive system in their science lessons, they had the chance to take part in an investigative challenge linked with the topic.
The class became scientists during their task to solve the mystery and of digestions and stomach upsets in the people of the Victorian period.
The children visited the pharmacy before taking their investigation to the laboratory where they were able to solve the problem with bicarbonate of soda!
Everyone had an amazing day and learned a lot in the process. The children cannot wait to return for another trip in spring - watch this space...
