This week our pupils had the opportunity to take part in an exciting project...

Seven Stories, a museum and visitor centre in Newcastle dedicated to children's literature, are designing a new exhibition that will open in April. The designers are teaming up with our school to explore the theme of 'comedy'.

Before Christmas, classes around our school read The Queen's Knickers by Nicholas Allen before having the opportunity to design their very own knickers for the exhibition. This was followed up by the children being able to explore the original artwork from the book.

Hannah said: "I loved looking at the original artwork - it was so inspiring as I love to do art in school."

Olivia added: "It's exciting to be part of such a huge project at Seven Stories. I can't wait to go and visit it when it's finished."

On Friday 31 January, Seven Stories will be coming into school to record a piece to be used in the exhibition at Seven Stories so watch this space...
