Yesterday, we celebrated World Book Day at Diamond Hall! Children shared stories and completed a range of activities around books as well as coming to school dressed in the theme of 'Read around the world!'.
In the dinner hall at lunchtime, pupils had the chance to guess the book or character from a food item. Afterl lunch, Mr Guthrie visited each class to share this month's 'books of the month' with the children The Dam by David Almond and Shackleton's Journey by William Grill. Our pupils couldn't wait to carry on reading the books themselves!

Ella added: "Shackleton's journey is brilliant and the illustrations really bring the story to life!"
