Our Year 4 pupils visited St Mary Magdalene Church for their Christingle Service yesterday. During the service, the children retold the Christmas story and sang songs. Father Andrew then lit the Christingles where the orange represented the earth and the candle represented Jesus being the light of the world.
Back in the classroom in their RE lessons, Year 4 learnt about how Jesus is the light of the world to Christians. The children talked about how lights can guide us, make us feel safe and is all around us.
