Karl joined Diamond Hall Junior Academy in 2023. Since joining the academy, Karl has worked within our Year 6 team providing support to children in their preparation for their SATs and transition to secondary school.
As well as supporting Year 6, Karl also teaches RWInc and has helped to roll out new interventions including Reciprocal Reading. He has even trained other support staff on delivering these interventions.
Karl has a BSc in Sport and exercise development with coaching from Sunderland University and a PGCE in Primary Education from Northumbria University and taught as a class teacher and Maths lead for many years in a previous school. Karl is a keen athlete and enjoys taking part in physical activities with the children and sharing his passions.
